Issue 4, June/July 2007
This is a new and exciting book, well set out and displaying some clear pictures of the various bracelets, necklaces, earrings; all of which can be created from the easily followed instructions. There are ideas to follow through to make brooches and fobs from worked butterflies, birds and other depictions of art. There are a couple of pages which give a good idea of the tools and equipment required. I counted thirteen different knots and seventeen well-illustrated projects; some of which are easy and some more challenging to make. My favourite piece is a necklace made up from red satin cord, a combination of Button Knots, a Pan Chang Knot and beautiful lampwork beads. I think there is something here for everyone, with some of the projects being easily managed. I would recommend this book to anyone who is looking for something different.

HI SUZANNE-------- I AM A STUDENT OF THE ART OF CHINESE MACRAME KNOT TYING AND YOUR BOOK WAS AMONG THE FIRST THAT I ACQUIRED TO HELP ME BETTER LEARN AND PRACTICE THE KNOTS.
I ENJOY YOUR INTERNET INFORMATION SITES VERY MUCH. IS THERE A PLAN TO FURTHER EDUCATE THE NOVEAU CHINESE TIERS WITH A BOOK II THAT WILL GIVE THE CLEAR INSTRUCTIONS THAT YOUR FIRST BOOK OFFERED. ??
I NOTED THAT YOUR BOOK GIVES A BIT MORE INSTRUCTIONS AND INFORMATION VS THE SEVERAL SOFTBACK CHINESE WRITTEN ONES. ALSO, YOU ARE AMONG THE VERY FEW ENGLISH -WRITTEN ONES THAT CAN BE UTILIZED AND UNDERSTOOD BY THOSE OF US WHO DO NOT READ OR SPEAK THE LANGUAGE.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH AND KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!
