(10cm), keeping everything very simple.
Paints, materials and workspace are all covered in the opening chapters before moving on to oil-painting techniques, learning about colour and composition, and finishing with projects to work on. Outlines are provided for you to trace so that you can get going straight away.
I have purchased other oil painting books in the past but this one is very nice. You work on small canvases or canvas panels to learn how to do the techniques before you go on to larger surfaces. This way you don't feel like you are wasting your time on something you may not like and or may not learn anything. Great book!
Really good book for beginners with simple easy to follow steps. The quality of the book paper is also very good (important when spilling paint by accident).
A lovely reasonably priced book with stunning pictures. Really helpful guidance on still life oil painting. Useful introductory chapters on colour and techniques which I found very accessible. Highly recommend.
A beautiful book. Very well sectioned for ease of following it from start to finishing a painting, supported by easy to follow diagrams and photos.
