Featuring over 25 reusable transfer designs, this is a collection of vintage-inspired floral transfer designs to embroider, love and cherish. A beautiful package demonstrating inspirational stitched embroideries from popular textile artist Tilly Rose, for you to stitch your own unique pieces.

Wildflowers provide endless inspiration, and this first book in Tilly Rose's new A Love of Cloth & Thread series draws on the beautiful outdoors, with a gorgeous collection of nature-inspired embroidery transfers showcasing Tilly’s most-loved seasonal wildflowers.

Tilly unveils the historic background to each of her designs, before putting her own modern spin on her truly unique stitched designs, each of which are sumptuously photographed in detail. The transfer designs are printed on iron-on paper, which can be cut out, stored in the pocket at the back of the book, and used multiple times each, allowing you to create an array of beautiful designs over and over.

A detachable illustrated stitch guide, covering the 14 stitches used in the main designs, is included in the book, which makes the perfect handy reference to pop in your sewing bag when stitching on the go.

Tilly Rose's third book will no doubt inspire stitchers once again to use your own findings, experiences and special fabrics to stitch pieces that are memorable and meaningful to you.

Customer Review

I have been waiting for this book for a while, it was on my birthday wish list, so I was very happy to find it didn't disappoint.

Lots of interesting snippets as well as clear instructions. I would say it would be as easy for a beginner to use as for someone with more experience. A real joy.

I have had the book for less than 48 hours and have already finished my first piece. Very happy with how it turned out!

Customer Review

Among the wildflowers is the first book in Tilly Roses series A Love of Cloth and Thread. This book is simply beautiful with a sturdy cover and wonderful illustrations of the embroidered flowers. The cover even has examples of the basic embroidery stitches on a fold out inside.

I love Tillys introduction explaining her passion for textile art and stitching and the history of embroidery which is great for the beginner to understand more about the art. The 16 different seasonal wildflower designs are shown as made up pieces with information about the flowers, where they are found and the inspiration for the design. Each design helpfully shows you the stitches you need to use so perfect for beginners.

All of the flower designs are included in the pages of iron on transfers that can be cut out and reused with a handy storage pouch to keep them in at the back. This is a book to treasure and take your time to enjoy and experiment with so that you can add beautiful flowers to clothing and home accessories. Tilly has also shown some examples and ideas for adding the embroidery to quilts, bags, fabric book covers and wonderful textile art. Excellent value at £14.99 will give endless projects and interest.
